Cruella Deville- perhaps the most infamous tranny mess

'member her?

gawd, wasn't she beautiful?

me thinkgs john galliano for christian dior was inspired by her for his fall 2008 coutoure show in paris. check out the pencil-thin chola eyebrows, the severe lipliner, powder-white faces, and a style that can be best characterized as the femme fatale, my ultimate heroin of my dreams.

i cant believe style.com didnt' even notice the similarities between the runway models and cholas. did none of the style editors go to public school with lots of cholitas calling them "pinche china". apparently not. they went to boarding school those lucky little bitches.

so root root, root root for the dodgers!

im not really sports fan at all, but i am en elton john fan. i wish i could have been his adopted korean daughter.
i was watching this elton john docu on t.v. and of course i started tearing up anytime i hear ANY of his songs. i had no idea that he played at dodgers stadium, meaning he played in front of 55,000 people. i think baseball uniforms are kinda boring, but not, NOT when u sequin the shit out of it! then it is AMAZING! every baseball player needs to wear sequins. fuck it, every athlete should wear sequins, it would def attract more tranny messes.

i like the guns, the guns that go boom!

check out the side of my blog, and i unabashedly admit that i am label junkie.

i also like shooting guns. it feels powerful to shoot a gun, there is an adrenaline rush that feels sexual. sorta cuz i feel like i'm doing something i shouldn't be doing. cuz i kinda feel bad when i shoot people. kid kid.

I found these images of weapons detailed with logos. t-shirts with logos i hate. GUNS with logos are cool. i mean, if i were an assassin, or a mafiosa, i'd really invest in any one of Peter Gronquist's designs.

Fendi chainsaw $3250.00

Versace pink gun $3500.00

LV Murakami $3500.00

Chanel ROCKET LAUNCHER!!! $4500

Jesus $3000

LV gazelle $2500

i love art bc i love that it can be esoteric, it can be accessible, it can be a portrait, it can be abstract, it can be a fucking black dot on white canvas. art is so encompassing, its kinda like love.

my friend sam is a FIERTH BEATH!!

u know ur doing it right when the runway copies YOU.

on Style Bubble, suzy bubble blogged about the paris menswear ss09 runway trend of shorts over leggings.

She seems somewhat ambivalent about this look, but not only do i love it, i have always loved it. and i must must must give cred to my friend Samuel Vasquez.( Sam is also one of the main curators of 1830 sunset!) He is the first person ( well, the first guy) to shorts over stockings/leggings/black sheer pant-things. not only did he do it before the PARIS runway shows, he did it a whole year before.

is he not a FIERTH BEATH!!

kudos sam, u r one of my fashion heroes.

it also goes to say that designers totally copy streetwear.

yohji, mcqueen, and gaultier

a few from the YY mens spring 09

(anyone seeing the older folks on the runway? is this a joke?)

next is a few ( and i mean a FEW) of my faves from Alexander Mcqueen.

and finally some from Gaultier. he's loud, he's colorful, i kinda hate the hats though.

the best of what i like!

color upon color? pattern against more pattern to be held together by more pattern?! yes yes yes! this is a great push in men's fashion. finally, more is more! ( trust, the calvin klein, versace, and other huge names were pretty damn boring...)

BIG UPS!!!

BIG BIG BIG congratulations to my hard-working friends who curate at 1830 sunset. What started off as just 3 friends is finally getting the recognition they deserve, from the LA TIMES! Mainly showcasing performance art pieces, the gallery has become more a multi-purpose venue.(the artists are screened to ensure captivating, original, and inspiring pieces of work.) This place is exactly what l.a. needs- a place for art for arts sake, not just for money.

although every wed they do movie night ( again, they dont show lame ass shit like...something about mary. no. they show true art films). please check out 1830's blog 1830 RoofTop Screenings

another smile, but pointy shoes really!?!

another rare pic caught of mk. ( where's ashley?!!!) again, mk is smiling. im a little over her kimono style dresses now. perhaps i have a distaste in my mouth for kimono dresses bc they used to sell them allll the time at betsey johnson for completely overpriced prices.
at least the sunglasses and the print of the dress is rad. but the shoes?!! please, i am just not ready for pointy toe black shoe stilettos ever again.

bic pens- their only 29c each

artist Juan Francisco Casas creates photo realistic works usingly just a bic pen. u know what i'm talking 'bout. those cheapy ones that come in medium and fine point. the ones we doodle with in class. i dont meant to imply he used only one pen, but hey maybe he did! those pens last forever.
but WOWZA! i usually don't write about art (bc even though i like it, i am no savant whatsoever) but i'm super impressed with artists who use everyday tools to create everyday images, and still be able to translate an emotional vulnerability i find captivating.
